Step-by-step: from Report Studio to a shareable executive snapshot in under five minutes.

Prerequisites
  • The customer has at least 30 days of assessment history
  • Partner branding is configured if a white-labeled report is needed

Overview

Executive reports summarize risk, assurance and operational trends in language a non-technical stakeholder can act on. Report Studio builds these from the same underlying data used everywhere else in AssurIQ, so nothing in the report needs a separate export or manual assembly step.

Build the report

  1. 1
    Choose the Executive template
In Report Studio, select New Report and choose the Executive template. It pre-loads a cover page, a trend narrative, key risk and assurance metrics, and a signoff block.
  2. 2
    Scope the report
Set the scope to the target customer and a 30-day period. Scoping controls which assets, findings and controls feed every block in the report.
  3. 3
    Set a comparison period
Enable period comparison against the previous 30 days so the narrative and KPI blocks show direction of travel, not just a point-in-time snapshot.
  4. 4
    Apply branding
Confirm the partner logo, color and footer disclaimer are applied, especially for white-labeled delivery to the end customer.
  5. 5
    Preview
Use the preview pane to check that every block has data for the selected scope and period; a block with no data in scope will fail generation.
  6. 6
    Generate
Click Generate to produce a snapshot. The snapshot is a fixed, timestamped copy — later data changes will not alter it.
  7. 7
    Share a secure link
Create a secure share link with an expiry date appropriate for the audience, for example 14 or 30 days, and send it instead of attaching the file.

What executives see

  • A cover page with the customer name, reporting period and overall posture summary.
  • A narrative block written in plain language describing what changed and why it matters.
  • Trend KPIs for AssurIQ Risk, Assurance Confidence and Operational Health, each shown separately since they measure different things.
  • A short list of the highest-priority items needing a decision, not a full finding list.

Language guidance

Executive blocks intentionally avoid CVE identifiers, protocol names and raw CVSS scores. Lead with business impact and trend direction; keep technical detail in the linked technical report for the audience that needs it.

Troubleshooting

If generation fails, the most common causes are a block scoped to a framework the customer does not have enabled, a date range with no data, or a missing branding asset.

  • AIQ-RPT-001Report generation failed
A snapshot could not be generated.
